Description

This module will cover the diagnosis and treatment of patients with common and complex causes of anterior knee pain.

Learning objectives

  • Understand and practice state of the art history and focused physical examination of AKP patients
  • Define joint homeostasis and the envelope of function as regards treatment of anterior knee pain
  • Acquire logical strategy for imaging studies appropriate for different types of patients with AKP
  • Be able to recommend appropriate non-operative treatment and understand the value of time and patience in optimizing outcomes
  • Know when to recommend and perform focused and effective surgical intervention.
